The Kimberlee was built in the 1960′s by the Louis H. Asbury & Son architectural firm. Its contemporary design pays homage to the principles of Modernist architecture which emphasizes function and utility, a radical departure from popular trends at that time.
The Kimberlee is a quiet and very safe, controlled-access community with six residential floors. With sound construction, a large community room, a beautiful fenced-in pool, and the lush landscaping you expect in Charlotte's established neighborhoods, with plenty of residential and guest parking.
On July 27, 2022, The Kimberlee Apartments entered The National Register of Historic Places* by the United States Department of the Interior
* The National Register is a list of properties "significant in American history, architecture, archeology, and culture - a comprehensive index of the significant physical evidences of our national patrimony." Properties listed therein deserve to be preserved by their owners as a part of the cultural heritage of our nation.
